The Laundry Room.
The laundry room earns its square footage every week. We design it like a small, handsome utility room, with a folding surface, a hanging program, a stone sink, and the drawer storage that makes the whole chore feel less like a chore.
Design the Room
The Room
A small room, seriously considered.
A good laundry room is a kitchen for fabric. Folding counter at the right height, rod for hanging to dry, pull-out hamper drawers, stone or porcelain sink deep enough to soak a duvet. We design it with the same discipline we bring to the kitchen itself.
The finish tier should match the rest of the house. There is no reason to step down into beige just because the room is utility. A marble subway, a painted cabinet, an aged-brass faucet, and a sisal mat go a long way.
What we do here
Layout planning, cabinet program with hamper drawers and pull-out hanging rod, sink specification, stone or tile surface, counter height calibration, task lighting, and the small-object layer (baskets, jars, laundry vessels).
