We plan outdoor living the same way we plan interiors: sightlines first, furniture plan second, lighting and planting last. The difference is scale — and sun. In the desert, shade is the luxury material.
Pergolas, ramadas, and deep overhangs extend usable hours. A ceiling fan on a covered patio does more work than most rooms' HVAC. Fire pits and fountains are the objects that pull people outside after dinner; they have to be positioned for the conversation, not just the photograph.
What the engagement includes
Furniture planning, shade strategy, fire and water feature specification, outdoor kitchen coordination, textile and rug selection built for the elements, landscape lighting plan, and finish selection for the patio surface and walls.
